Are you writing aircraft maintenance engineer license examination? Aircraft Mechanic people need to write this dgca AME exam in order to get their aircraft maintenance engineer licenses. There are three sessions in a year, February session, June session and October session. Dgca decide the exam dates and schedules will be published on dgca website (http://dgca.nic.in) AME candidates are requested to apply for the exam before the end dates mentioned in the schedule list.
This exam will be conducted accordingly on the basis of different categories and experience of the AME candidate. There are three license paper exams conducting on the different centers all over India under CEO. Paper 1 will be CAR Rules and Regulations, Paper 2 General Engineering and Paper 3 Airframe/ Powerplant. Paper 3 is classified into LA/CP (PE), HA/CT (JE), ES/IS etc. These particular papers can be written only after clearing the Paper 1 and 2 exams with relevant experience. The first two papers can be written when the candidate complete each years of institutional training. So that he can clear the two AME license examinations during the period of Ab-initio training in the Dgca approved institutions. After the On Job training he can go for third Paper AME exam within the trained category and experience. For all other AME exams, experience is a must. Without experience and necessary documents, an AME candidate cannot apply for the exam. And also these documents must be valid for the authority.
If any mistakes in the application form or related documents attached with the application of exam, dgca will not permit the candidate to write the AME exam. The reason for the rejection and necessary details are also will be published on the dgca website before the exam. Most of the rejection is due to improper certificates, No supporting documents in which the experience claimed, attested copies of documents will not be there, inadequate experience as per CAR series L part-1, wrong computer number and DD number etc. So while applying for this AME exam candidate must be very careful, otherwise your one chance will be lost in that year.
