Cohin Airport MRO seeking MRO Partner

Cochin International Airport Ltd. (CIAL) is getting ready to launch its MRO facility by January, and is scouting potential joint venture partners among Indian and US carriers. In an interview with The Daily, CIAL Managing Director C.G. Krishnadas Nair says the construction of the hangars has now entered the final phase. He adds, “Once the MRO becomes operational, we want to emerge as a role model for non- Metro airports. We are hopeful of finding a right partner to run the MRO activities. We are offering up to 50% equity to either a finance partner, business partner or a technology partner.” 


CIAL is hoping to generate business, employment and offer cost-effective services through the MRO facility, for which the agency to run it along with CIAL will be finalized soon, according to Airport Director A.C.K.
