How to Apply for DGCA Exams


If you wish to write DGCA AME licence examination, you must be pursuing the AME course or must have aviation experience through GET scheme or at least air force service men. While discussing about AME, the candidate who are going to apply for first paper DGCA AME license exam must be completed one year AME training from the institution. This is the eligibility of the candidate to write the exam. For the second paper license exam, he must have two years AME training. The AME candidate can able to write the paper two license exam without paper one passing only if he had enough experience, I mean training from institution. But he cannot write the third AME license exam until unless he clears paper one. And also he must have three years of AME training from the college. That means, while studying the course, an AME student can write two papers, and in the final year the third paper too.


Now let’s see how to apply for the AME examination. There is one DGCA exam application form called CA9 in which the candidate can download from DGCA website and fill it out properly. A bank demand draft must be attached with it worth Rs. 500 for one paper. If you have two papers, then it will become Rs. 1000. The DD must be taken in the favor of “PAO, DGCA, MCA, New Delhi” payable at New Delhi. Attach the necessary documents with the application form. For paper one, first two semester mark list, bonafide certificate from the institute in which the candidate undergoing AME course. For paper two, 4 semester mark list, bonafide certificate from the institution. For paper three, Semester mark list, AME result card of first and second license passing. These documents must be attested by the DGCA/RAO officer of the airworthiness. Pin the documents properly and put it in a postal cover. Write the DGCA office address in the envelope, and send it by speed post before DGCA exam schedule.

The Candidate must write his Name, Computer No., which paper he is going appear, Signature etc in the back side of the DD issued from the Bank.
