1. Keep calm and listen carefully what the informer saying
2. Let the caller finish the message and do not cut off the conversation
3. Keep response to one or two words
4. Write down the message in a paper so that you won’t forget or miss the points and listen for clues.
5. Listen carefully to ascertain that caller’s age, sex, nationality, and peculiarities in speech, accent, speech impediments etc
6. Try to keep the person in conversation as long as possible.
