Working as an Aviation Mechanic, it is your responsibility to conduct inspections and maintenance of aircraft engines, pressurized sections and landing gear. With more sophisticated planes, the mechanic is given a task of retrieving important diagnostic data from the consoles and electronic boxes that track the basic routines of the plane.
It is the job of the Aviation Mechanics to handle all maintenance records associated with the aircraft. When analyzing an engine, you will need direct access to it. In some cases, you need to disassemble the engine with the help of specialized equipments and for invisible cracks, you may need X-ray equipment. Once your engine analysis is finished, you must substitute or repair any defective parts.
