AME Job Training in Aviation Institutes

AME OJT is compulsory for AME students after AME course. So that Aviation institutes itself offering training there itself. This is really help for AME students to complete their course within time. Otherwise if they are applying outside in some other aviation organizations, they need to wait till the vacancy comes and for the processing. This will delay their course completion accordingly.

There will be some difference in both the trainings given under institution and some other aviation industries. In institutes, you won’t be getting training in live aircrafts also heavy aircrafts such as Airbus, Boeing, ATR, etc. But from aviation industries or MROs you can work under a team in these heavy airlines. In institutes if you are doing training you won’t feel that you are a trainee tech but as students who are studying the same course another six months. Aviation industries provide you with a good working environment which will give you a feel that you are an aviation technician and doing a responsible job. You will be working as a team so that you can mingle with more aviation staffs who are working with you. You can also get chances to know about airline interviews, when they are conducting and attend them accordingly. You can ask help from your friends, aviation coworkers regarding this. 

 The most important thing is the experience certificate and log book entries. Suppose if you are training under Air India you will be getting experience certificates in heavy aircrafts airbus A320, Boeing 737 etc but when you are doing training in institutes you may be getting experience in Cessna, beech craft, king air, HT 2, or any small passenger aircrafts which are not being used itself in our country. When considering both these experiences, the training which you have done from aviation industries will be getting more importance, since you are going to work in that industry.

So its time to take decisions of your own, either you choose institutes so that you will not get your time wasted with waiting or go for aviation industries if you are more keen about the working environment and experience you are getting. Good luck.
