AME OJT Recruitment in Airlines

AME students in order to complete their ab-intio training from college need to undergo six months practical training in aviation organization approved by DGCA. This training is called the AME On Job training. This is a compulsory practical training for the AME students in order to complete the course. Some institutions providing training in the college itself. But the students who wish to get training on live aircraft will search for ojt in aviation organizations, MROs, maintenance hangars etc.

Students need to maintain a logbook while undergoing training and this will be showing their experience in aviation industry for future job purposes. After training the students will get the experience certificate from the organization. This certificate also can be used when applying to write DGCA AME license examinations in various categories. Aviation industry required experience people, so students have to undergo training till they get much experience to do the job properly.

On job training is given for AMEs completely free of cost, but these days some organizations are charging some amount of money from the students for airport pass, security deposit, training facilities, miscellaneous etc. But the trainees may not get any stipend from the organization unless he is fit for the job. After training the organization itself may absorb the trainees if they found that the trainer is good and enthusiastic.
